As we have previously covered in this blog, as a result of President Trump’s executive order, Restoring Common Sense to Federal Procurement, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) is undergoing an extensive and unprecedented rewrite. While many of us were enjoying the relaxation of summer days (drifting away to summer nights), the Trump administration has been busy issuing rolling updates to the FAR, which are poised to dramatically reshape the federal acquisition landscape. On August 14, 2025, the FAR Council told us more (told us more) by issuing draft revisions to FAR Parts 4, 8, 12, and 40.
